Good Morning Hip Hop

Man yo, you ever wake and bake on a work day morning? I’m all chillin’, my office is playing Nancy Wilson classics in the background and all I really want to do is push up mi liter and zone out. Unfortunately, they ain’t paying me to vibe… lol.

I haven’t worked on any new tracks in a couple of days, it’s been a tough week. Amir’s got heat rash and the Wiz is trippin’ a lil about that. She’s a first-time Mom though, so she’s got a right to be nervous about this stuff.

I’m really starting to get excited about the resurgence of the label. I miss performing and I am looking forward to getting back to form (and scared as hell about it, same time!).  This time has to be diffeent from before. I have to stay focused, which at times is very hard to do. I have so much inside me that I want to accomplish, but I always find that throughout this accomplishment talk, I don’t actually accomplish much hahaha! Nah, but that stimulous check should be coming next month. I know I have mad bills to pay, but I only need $300 to publish the novel. (And I’ve been sitting on that since I got the copyrights back last summer…sigh… ) and I’m going to buy an external hard drive.  Time to start the grind for self! So ah… yeah, buy the book dammit! You’ll love it..lol

Aight, I got stuff to accomplish (I’m loling real big right now!)

Yo, when I get everything in the cooker, there’s gonna be a whole lot of changes in the game. Just warning you… be prepared, Hip Hop…

Why 35 year olds get looked at like we can’t rock the mic? That stereotype really irks me. Especially because Hip Hop is about more than age. Just my feelings, but what do you think? Hit me up and add on.

Until next time…

“Sup peeps…  Man listen, this music life is hard sometimes. I mean, I was talking to the wife last night and *sigh* I realized that I am afraid of my own success. I mean, I’ve got some really serious music under my care and I haven’t let folk really know what Knaptyme is doing these days.

I’m back in New Jerusalem, which is wild because this is where I truly honed and sharpened my craft. So I guess I’m back here to make sure that I finish what I started back in 1992.

That being said, watch out for Knaptyme Entertainment! We are back to the beginning, a little older, a lot wiser and more disciplined in the arts of letting the people hear the music and judge for themselves what’s hot versus what aint.

That’s one of several myspace pages I will highlight here. This is my beats page. Check me out and let me know how you feel.
